Minnesota Electric Technology, Inc, also know as MET, Inc or MET Motors, manufactures custom PMDC motors for Original Equipment Manufactures (OEMs) world wide. We also manufacture and sell a 56 series motor for a sister company, Mankato Manufacturing Inc.

Our product line includes brush type PMDC 32 and 33 series motors in 3.2″, 3.6″ diameter, a 56 series motor in 6″ diameter and a brushless PMDC 48 series motor in 4.2″ diameter. These DC motors are made in Minnesota and built with NEMA, IEC or custom mounting configurations according to customer specifications.

The motors performance characteristics are engineered at our corporate head quarters in Mankato, Minnesota with proprietary design software written by the Engineering Department to simulate how the motor will perform. Production drawings are CAD-generated with Autodesk® Inventor™, applying the latest in 3D modeling to aid in fast & efficient designs.

Our motors are built in the USA at our Winnebago, Minnesota manufacturing facility with aid of Epicor® Vantage® ERP software. With this software to help manage the whole order cycle and 30+ dedicated employees we manufactured over 62,000 motors in 2007 at over $5M in sales.

Through MET's quality program we continue to receive high marks from our customers on their supplier survey reports. This recognition is also demonstrated by many supplier award plats we have received over the years for our commitment to quality, on-time delivery, service, total cost and continuous improvement. We feel our on going quality assurance education that promotes regular training schedules of operations and procedures for our employees has promoted these positive results.

MET motors ships world wide including: Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North America. Due to a broad customer base, MET motors will be found in applications such as: Automatic Guidance Vehicles, Floor Cleaning Equipment, Hydraulic Pumps for Army Tanks, Over-The-Road Refrigeration, and Railroad Crossing Gates.
