Minnesota Electric Technology, Inc., also know as MET Motors, manufactures custom-designed, permanent magnet DC motors for Original Equipment Manufactures (OEMs) worldwide.

Our product line includes brush type PMDC 32 and 33 Series motors in 3.2″, 3.6″ diameter, and the 56 Series motor in 6″ diameter. These DC motors are made in Minnesota and built with NEMA, IEC or custom
mounting configurations according to customer specifications.

The motors’ performance characteristics are engineered at our corporate head quarters in Mankato, Minnesota using proprietary design software written our Engineering Department to simulate the motor’s performance. Production drawings are CAD-generated in Autodesk Inventor®, applying the latest in 3D modeling to aid in accurate, fast and efficient designs.

All our motors are built in the USA at our Winnebago, Minnesota manufacturing facility. Last year, our dedicated employees manufactured over 68,000 motors.

Through MET’s quality program, we continue to receive high marks from our customers on supplier surveys. This recognition is demonstrated by the many supplier awards we have received over the years for our commitment to quality, on-time delivery, customer service, cost and continuous improvement programs. Our on-going quality assurance education program promotes regular training schedules in operations and procedures for our employees to promote positive customer reviews.

MET Motors ships worldwide including Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, Canada, Central and South America. Due to a broad customer base, MET Motors operate in many varying situations: automatic guidance vehicles, floor cleaning equipment, hydraulic pumps for army tanks, over-the-road refrigeration units, railroad crossing gates, automatic skeet throwers, coffee makers and grinders, door openers, frozen yogurt machines, salt and sand spreaders, solar water pumps, and wheelchairs.
